Additional IAS from the rest of your equipment has to be considered as well. When demanding that it must get 4 sockets from Larzuk, a balrog blade is the best of all of the remaining candidates.įrenzy barb: You have to find a compromise between speed and damage.

That cancels out all axes except a BA and all one-handed swords. The other thing to consider is range which should be 3. WW barb: Oath adds 50%IAS, so any one-handed weapon and any sword with speed 15 or lower will be fast enough for WW. If you are not that poor, you could even unsocket your sword/axe and retry until the %ed meets your demands. Oath is not that expensive, so IMO it's not necessary to keep options open for characters other than the one a particular weapon is originally made for. Legendary mallets are the only one-handed ones which will get 4 sockets, but even though they deal the most damage of all one-handers, they are too slow IMO, except perhaps for fana-zealot which would need 117%IAS to reach the final breakpoint. As ethereal elite weapons with 4 sockets are probably harder to get than a Mal rune, it makes sense to concentrate on those which will always get 4 sockets from Larzuk. It makes a weapon indestructible which means putting it into anything but an ethereal weapon is a waste (and BTW, the existence makes 99.99% of all rare weapons worthless).
